Adam began his library journey over 20 years ago at a public library in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in various library support capacities.  Since then, he went on to manage multiple academic libraries in the state of Florida.  Adam adheres to the philosophy of “Doing everything possible in order to help instructors change lives through reference and programming expertise.” This philosophy continuously serves the students and faculty at Everglades University well.

Adam holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University, and a Bachelors Degree in Education from Duquesne University.

Jim began his career in post-secondary education as an English Instructor at The University of Tampa and Hillsborough Community College, later moving to Indiana to become Department Chair of General Education at Indiana Vocational Technical College in Columbus, Indiana.  It was there as a supervisor of the College’s Library, that Jim discovered his second career as a Librarian.  Over the past 20 years, Jim has worked in public and academic libraries in Indiana and Florida, as well as serving as Associate Director of Information Resources for Leo Burnett Advertising, a global agency headquartered in Chicago.

Jim holds a Master’s Degree in Library Science from Indiana University, a Master of Arts Degree in English From Illinois State University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Illinois State University.

Michelle’s library endeavors have spanned across the country.  Starting in The Midwest Region, Michelle assisted in serving the library needs of two very distinct demographics through her work in the public library and at the grade school level.  In Florida, Michelle was a tremendous difference maker within her community through her work at one of the biggest and most diverse public library systems in the Bradenton area.  Michelle will be drawing on her extensive experience in reference, workshop, and collection development expertise in order to assist students at our Everglades University Sarasota Campus achieve academic success.

Michelle holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Emporia State University and a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology from Metropolitan State College.

Boca Raton and Online Division Campus Librarian, Tammie Olivera, MLIS


What started out as a student worker role in college has evolved into a highly meaningful and rewarding career path for Tammie.  Since college, Tammie has gone onto manage multiple campus libraries, which has lead to her making a significant difference in the lives of many students in the South Florida area.  Tammie also made a tremendous impact in her community within the public library sector as well.  Tammie has now transitioned back to her roots in academia in order share with our EU Student Body her vast reference, programming, and academic support expertise.

Tammie holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from The University Of South Florida and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University Of Florida.
