High Performance Buildings Database – Searchable database by the U.S. Department of Energy of data on various factors that affect a building’s performance, such as energy, materials, and land use.
New Buildings Institute – Includes up-to-date document library with articles on measured performance level of buildings, codes & policy, HVAC, lighting, advanced design, and more.
Whole Building Design Guide – information on a wide range of building-related guidance, criteria and technology from a ‘whole buildings’ perspective.

Southeast Construction This journal’s website offers all of their news and features, as well as a career center, videos, and more.
Construction Industry Institute (CII) – The CII conducts research and provides continuing education, networking and industry support to construction professionals. Students can find things such as committee reports and studies of best practices.
GAO (Government Accountability Office) – The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) is an independent, nonpartisan agency that works for Congress. Often called the “congressional watchdog,” GAO investigates how the federal government spends taxpayer dollars. The link provided goes to the GAO’s reports and testimonies page with topics listed in categories, though you can search by keyword or government agency also. Topics cover all areas of government spending such as health care, energy, business regulation, transportation, space, homeland security, and much, much more.
