We’ve just added another database to our EU library website. If you look under “Database Resources,” you will find a new listing for the Historical Encyclopedia of American Business. If you click on that link, you will be able to search through an electronic version of this reference series, which totals over 1,000 pages. This is similar to our Salem Health database, where you can search through the entire text of Magill’s Medical Guide and Psychology and Mental Health. This database does not include journal articles — rather, you will find alphabetically-listed chapters that summarize the key people, events, inventions and companies that have shaped the development of American business. Although all three of the EU campus libraries also have print copies of the Historical Encyclopedia of American Business on their shelves, these are Reference materials, and students cannot check them out. With this database, you can access it anywhere Internet is available, and also save, email or print out chapters at your EU libraries. Let us know if you have any more questions.
