Have you used Google to search for sources for a paper or project? As a librarian, I tend to steer students away from the internet if at all possible. Why? Because it can be really difficult to tell what information is true and verified, and what has been posted by a 5th grader with excellent web skills!
So where can you go online to find solid, scholarly information? Why not try Google Scholar? It’s the same Google that we know and love, but it only searches free articles that are published in journals, as well as theses, abstracts, books, and other scholarly literature.
Not everything is full text, but they may offer some articles that our databases do not carry. You can get to Google Scholar at http://scholar.google.com
Just remember: A search in our databases is ALWAYS where you should go first for all of your article needs!
