In libraries, databases are collections of journals that are searchable in one place. Each database offers a different set of journals that can be searched, which means that you will sometimes have to search several databases to find all of the articles that you need. In fact, it’s often best to look in more than one database so that you see the full range of artilces on your topic.
The databases that Everglades offers are in the blue section of the library’s website, on the bottom half of the page. Everglades University is proud to offer the following databases:
EBSCO CINHAL Plus is a database for the medicine and health fields of study.
Library Information Research Networks (LIRN) is a gateway to several databases including LIRNSearch, InfoTrac, Proquest, and Books in Print.
Ovid Resources is another database for medicine and health fields.
More information on each database that EU offers will be coming to this blog soon.
